How Do You Know if You Have Tonsil Stones?

Sydney

Okay, so there are a few steps that we can go through. The first one is: do you remember having your tonsils out? As a kid, did you get ice cream when you were around the age of five? Do you remember that part of your life? You probably will; it's incredibly painful. If you don't have your tonsils, you won't have tonsil stones.

But if you still have your tonsils, there are two different styles of tonsils: some people have pits in their tonsils, and some don't. The pits collect food, mucus, and bacteria, which then end up forming these tonsil stones.

So if you look in the back of your throat — maybe take a flashlight back there — and you don't see any holes in your tonsils, they'll be on the left and right side of the back of your throat, behind your uvula. If you have pits in your tonsils, you might get tonsil stones. It would be interesting for you to start checking; you might not see them.

If you do see them, it'll be a little white spot back there. But a lot of times they're not visible because it's kind of like these caves and cavities that go back through your tonsils. The tonsil stone itself could actually be hidden right behind the entry point to the tonsil pit.

That's what our tool is really able to help with: to go back in there quickly and gently. You twist the tool, remove the tonsil stone, and it's just out — very quick and easy. If you have pits in your tonsils, you most likely, at some point in your life, will end up getting tonsil stones.
