What do tonsil stones smell like?
The smell can sometimes be so intense that other people in our lives can smell the tonsil stones. While anyone can develop tonsil stones, they are more common in people who have larger tonsils or deep crevices in their tonsils. Poor oral hygiene, chronic sinus problems, and dry mouth can also contribute to the formation of tonsil stones.

Tonsil stones sufferers often mention feeling worried or self conscious about someone noticing they have bad breath. Some people use mouthwash or bring gum with them but the only real solution to stop the smell is to remove the tonsil stone causing the odor.
